Ariel and Zoe’s “Fabulous” Event at the Park Avenue Club

pac-facadeAriel and Zoe’s B’nai Mitzvah was held at The Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, NJ.

Their mom, Haya, wanted a “fabulous event”; in her Thank You phone call afterwards she said, “Marcello, you delivered.”

HoraWith 300 fun-loving, family members and friends together in one of the best venues NJ has to offer, the odds for a successful event were in our favor from the start.

When you combine those elements with ideal guests of honor and a solid entertainment company, a celebration goes from ordinary to extraordinary.

MMP Entertainment TalentThe highlights of the day included the girl’s Grand Entrance when they came in on the shoulders of our dancers to We Go Together from the Grease soundtrack, Haya’s heart-felt speech, and the finale choreographed routine to Grease Lighting.

I had 18 people on my talent and production team that day, this shot features a photo taken with dancers before the guests arrived.

Special thanks to Randy Polo, the Catering Director, for his hospitality and professionalism. He was instrumental in coordinating our pre-event site surveys and the on-site logistics.

Just Remember… She’s Always Right!

madison-facade.jpgLacie and Joe’s ceremony and reception was held in New Jersey at The Madison Hotel. In addition to the on-site accommodations, they chose The Madison for its famed Atrium ballroom.

The Madison, CeremonyThe mix of high glass ceilings, natural moonlight shining through and a plethora of holiday red poinsettias that were delivered earlier that day made for a dramatic ambiance.

We worked with our good friend, Dave, from Visionmasters Photography.marcello-pre-intros1 He snapped this paparazzi shot as I was coming down the hotel hallway to make the Grand Entrance announcements.

The Madison, ReceptionThe highlight of the night was the Anniversary Dance. After playing At Last by Etta James, we found out that Lacie’s aunt and uncle were the longest married couple on the guest list (almost 50 years). When I asked her uncle if he had any advice for Joe on what it takes to have a long-lasting marriage he said, “Just remember, she’s always right!” The women cheered and the men just nodded their heads in agreement. It was classic.

Rebecca and Matt at the Wilshire Grand: The Best of Both Worlds

wg-facade.jpgRebecca and Matt’s wedding reception was held at The Wilshire Grand in West Orange, New Jersey. From the first consultation, Rebecca and Matt knew that they wanted the best of both worlds, the combination of DJ Entertainment and live musicians.

wilshire-aint-no-mountain-high-enoughAs the first guests arrived into the grand foyer and family photos were being taken, our piano player (Mitch) helped create a classy ambiance as champagne and strawberries were being served.

After the cocktail hour, the ballroom doors opened and the guests went right to the dance floor. Our saxophone player (Franco) and percussionist (Rueben) played along to an up-beat set of Michael Buble and classic Motown music. That set the tone for a fun, elegant and memorable evening.

Matt on top of the WorldThe highlight of the night was seeing Matt’s brother and friends lift him up for some crowd-surfing when we cranked up Bon Jovi’s Living On A Prayer from their request list.

Special thanks to Tom, the Catering Manager. Just like when he worked at The Rockleigh Country Club, he was a total professional when it came to creating a smooth timeline for the cuisine and planning for all of the event logistics.

Ethan’s Bar Mitzvah: A Landmark Event

Ethan is the man!Ethan’s Bar Mitzvah was held at the Landmark II in Rutherford, New Jersey.

This was our second event for the Gazda family. Like his older sister, Ilana, Ethan’s simcha was  another high-energy, interactive celebration with family and friends.

LED T-shirt Prize

Throughout the event we gave away voice-activated, LED T-shirts that move to the beat of the music. Needless to say, the kids were very excited about winning one during the sing along competition.

I can do this job with my eyes closed. :)The highlight of the event was seeing Ethan lifted up during the song Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye by Crazy Frog. The smile on his face was priceless.

Arissa’s Bat Mitzvah is next, we can’t wait!

Special thanks to our friend Dave from Visionmasters Photography who shared these photos.

Jacob: On Top of the World

Opening Dance SetJacob’s Bar Mitzvah was held at Temple B’nai Tikvah in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

He was probably the most organized Bar Mitzvah boy I ever worked with.

Jacob and TaraJacob knew exactly what he wanted with regards to the lighting, production agenda and music programming. In the end, he got just what he’d hoped for… an awesome party!

As you can see from the photos, Jacob is quite the dancer. He’s also very smart; he made sure to choose Tami and Tara from the MMP Entertainment team when it was time for the Swing Dance Competition.

Mom and Dad enjoying the celebrationRueben, our percussionist, was having a blast as well especially during the drum solo of Zoot Suit Riot.

Jacob’s mom and dad were also shakin’ their groove thing to some of their favorite classic disco hits.

grand-entrance-large4The highlight of the night was  during the Grand Entrance. Every time I see the photo, I think of Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie, Titanic, when he screams out, “I’m The King of the World!!”

Special thanks to Evan and John from Classical Caterers for their hospitality and professionalism.
