Love Always Wins and Success is Sweet, but Gratitude is Gold

Getting older isn’t always fun and filled with feel-good moments- but I can tell you for a fact that celebrating 50 years on this earth with some very special family members and friends last week is a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Most importantly, I also had the opportunity to say “thank you” to all of the people who have had a positive impact on my life. Over the years, I made the mistake of waiting until someone’s funeral to say something nice about them. I’ve come to realize how silly that was. If you want to express your gratitude or say “I love you” to someone, it’s better to do it now while they are still able to hear your voice and feel your hug.
Special thanks to Rachael and Steve Scro, owners of The Mohawk House for helping us make their exceptional venue the perfect location for this milestone celebration. We were fortunate to have a stellar team on the day of to make sure that the execution of the pacing was on point. Kudos to hospitality captain, Rachel (without the “a”), and her team of service pros- Johnny, Emily, and Sara. And of course, a shout out to Chef Mary, who ensured that the cuisine was stellar and that the braised short rib menu option got the thumbs up from my father in law, Frank, who is a very tough customer.
To Josh, Joe, and Mike, thank you for providing the awesome soundtrack and capturing all of the wonderful smiles.
To my wife, the one and only “Dr. Jill,” thank you for making this all happen. I love you.?
Onwards and upwards…
Enjoy your weekend, everyone.
Cheers,
