MMP Entertainment Rocks the Boat: Danielle’s Sea Cruise Bat Mitzvah at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club

It was great to be back at one of our favorite New Jersey venues, The Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, for Danielle’s Bat Mitzvah!  Not only does the club offer a gorgeous golf course view, an elegantly-appointed ballroom and fine dining- it features one of the most important components necessary for a successful celebration… An expert team of catering professionals.

Led by banquet manager, Barbara Bogado, who we’ve been fortunate to be working with for years, the Fiddler’s team is totally on point when it comes to facilitating a seamless time line and overall event flow.  Barbara’s desire to give her clients the best experience possible via exceptional hospitality and entertainment is right in line with MMP’s professional approach.  We’re looking forward to our next collaboration.

Danielle and her friends enjoyed our interactive game show and Minute To Win It tournament during the cocktail hour.  They also had a blast with the “Make Your Own Cd” Super Star Karaoke booth and a photo station during the reception in between the dance sets.

Speaking of dancing, there was no shortage of happy guests shakin’ their groove thing out on the dance floor throughout the celebration.  The Koslow’s were fans of everything from classic rock  to the 80’s and 70’s funk to all the way to the current hits of today.

It was definitely a textbook evening of multi-generational music programming which allows all of your guests preferences to be catered to.  This,  along controlling the volume, (an MMP Staple)  so none of your guests have leave the room to avoid a head ache,  makes for a very pleasantly-entertaining  evening.

Since Danielle’s had a cruise ship theme and they upgraded to our Signature event package, we created personalized video graphics with actual footage of tropical fish swimming under the sea that played on our plasma screens as we gave out authentic Captain’s hats to all the guest wanted to take their Sea Cruise experience up a notch.

As you can see from the candid photos that we took and later showed on the screens during the final dance set, Danielle and her family and friends had a fantastic voyage.  It was an honor to be a part of their crew and help navigate the evening’s festivities.  -mp

Table For Two

Table For Two

The New Jersey North Chapter of the International Special Events Society held their 6th annual Tabletop Design Competition last night at the Olde Mill Inn, in Basking Ridge.  Members, judges and guests strolled through the Inn which was filled with dazzling table scenes and delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Some of the tabletop highlights included a gorgeous Tuscany setting from Amarayllis, a romantic table for two from Details of I Do, an opulent-chic design from C. Brower & Co., a groovy blast-from-the-past courtesy of  Conroy’s & Something Different, and a spring masterpiece by Touch of Elegance that was a sister-creation to their “M” table from the Meadow Wood Manor’s open house last month.

A few of the cuisine notables that had people talking were the scallops with bacon from Main Street, the organic prosciutto-chicken and spinach pizza from Bolu,  and the mango with custard-creme yellow cake from Roxanna’s.

A personal highlight was pretending to be James Bond in Goldfinger with Michelle D’Anna from Signature Events who I worked with a few weeks back at the Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club.  She brought in the stand-out furniture pieces of the night.  Everyone who passed by stopped and posed for a glam-photo shoot.  Some people thought I was part of the presentation because I happened to wear a gold-colored Zegna and pocket square.

How Sweet It Is! Rebecca Is the Queen of Candyland

FCCA few years ago, the Muller family celebrated Zachary’s Bar Mitzvah and transformed the Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club into an intergalactic  Star Wars movie set.  Celebrated author and editor at large of Esquire magazine, A.J Jacobs, wrote  about the impressive event in his New York Times best seller, The  Year of Living BiblicallyThe chapter was cleverly titled, Zach Wars, Episode XIII, Revenge of the Torah.

Rebececca and her friendsFor Rebecca, they collaborated again with Tracy Fox from Party Artistry for another eye-catching  decor transformation. This  time, it was a Candyland theme and a show of affection for the color purple!  The ballroom looked incredible.

During the cocktail hour, the adults were treated to an electric violinist, while the kids enjoyed our game show, glass blown jewelry, picture this, sumo wrestling, a virtual roller coaster, salt water taffy, a photo booth and a personalized montage that we displayed on a plasma screen for guests to enjoy as they walked by.

Happy GuestsAs you can tell from the photos, Rebecca, her friends and family loved to dance.  They were big fans of Swing dancing, Motown music, and the current hits.

Among many, a highlight of the day came during the candlelighting.  Unbeknown to Rebecca, her parents, Mark & Debra,  made arrangements for her dog “Mattie” to make a special guest appearance for candle #10. Rebecca and all of the guests cheered as we played Who Let the Dogs Out. It was an awesome moment!

Special thanks to Barbara and Kristine from Fiddlers for their hospitality and professionalism. It was also a pleasure working with Michelle, Party Artistry’s on-site coordinator for decor and logistics.

Synchronoss Technologies Celebrates

sync2Synchronoss Technlologies Holiday Gala was held at The Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in New Jersey.

Holly, the Director of Human Resources, had seen us perform during a Bar Mitzvah at The Villa in Mountain Lakes a few years back. She called soon after asking us to provide the entertainment for the Synchronoss Celebration.

fccThis year they got a little fancy with the lighting. Blue LED’s uplit the stone accents and snowflakes were projected onto the ceiling of the ballroom to help guests get into the holiday spirit. It worked.

1-fiddlers-elbow-cc2The highlight of the night was The Mad Texan’s Jeigermiester Dance Party. As always, Synchronoss’ Vice President, Chris, took the mic after the dessert and emcee’d a twenty minute dance set to his favorite tracks. This year’s theme was “Funk”, and he was definitely getting funky…for a white boy from Texas. Some of the crowd favorites were Let’s Groove Tonight by Earth, Wind and Fire and Word Up by Cameo.

Special thanks to Barbara from Fiddler’s Elbow for her hospitality and professionalism.
